I absolutely love this app. What a fun place to sell and to buy great fashion pieces from jewelry, sun glasses, clothing, shoes, scarfs, and other accessories for all ages and genders.
I must say I absolutely love the new Dollar General app for my iPhone that allows me to save my coupons electronically. Now, I will also say that it is not every coupon that comes in the Sunday paper but typically has had a great deal of the ones that I use. It is so easy to use. Once you have the app set up, then you just click on the coupon to save and it puts it in your file if you will. Then when you go to the store and by those items, all you have to do is touch the digital coupon app on the store kiosk and enter in your phone #. It automatically finds the coupons that you have saved to the products you have bought and deducts your coupons. Next - just pay for your merchandise. Easy Peasy and you are done. It also makes waiting in line behind someone who coupons much less painful. Believe me, I am typically that coupon person and I have been behind the coupon person as well and this app cuts down on that time immensely! Great Job Dollar General!
I have used this product and have mixed emotions about this product. First off, make sure you are starting with clean lips. After I brush my teeth then I wipe my lips with a face wipe. After they are clean and dry then you apply the lip sense color three times in the same direction with time between each application for it to dry. Then, once the final application has dried then you apply the gloss over it. I do like the color and coverage it initially gives. They note that it will last anywhere from 4 hours to 18 hours. I would say that it lasts about 4 hours for me with some of the application lasting longer. This photo was after lunch which was about 5 1/2 hrs. after application. If you look closely where my lips come together on the top lip you can see where some of the Lip Sense has worn off. This image was taken after dinner approximately 11 hours after initial application. I even tried another partial application mid-afternoon but it did not stay on. If I could figure out how to keep it on the portion of my lips that come in contact with each as well as it stays on the other parts of my lips then I would love this stuff. But, otherwise I will probably stick with my lip pencils and lip gloss. I have not had any problems with my lips drying out as some people have said about this product. But, then again I believe you have to take care of your lips just like you do your skin. I clean mine every night and moisturize them as well. I have learned some new tricks and found that with these tricks it is looking nicer / lasting longer if you will. First, lips should be really clean. Apply layer (all in one direction) and allow it to dry completely (I say at least 30 seconds to a minute). You repeat until you have three layers on and completely dry then you apply the lip gloss (going all in the same direction as the lip color). You will need to re-apply lip gloss throughout day as this protects the lip color that you put on (so if my lips are starting to feel dry then I reapply lip gloss). Also, you need to apply lip gloss before you eat and after you eat (wipe off your lips to remove any crumbs, grease, etc.) re-apply.
I do really like this product as it does not leave your lip prints on your glassware, etc. and now that I have found some additional secrets to it lasting even longer - let's just say I am starting to enjoy wearing this product. This picture is of me today - I put LipSense on after breakfast this morning so around 8am and now it is almost 2:30 in the afternoon and still looking good. I have an iPhone and use this app called Survey Mini which true to it's word it is mini. The shopping surveys are short in nature and take only a couple of minutes. Also, the points add up fairly quickly but the minimum amount to get any rewards is 4,000 points. But, a lot of everyday places I go to comes up with surveys on this app. Example is the bank I use popped up this last visit, Starbucks pops up sometimes, restaurants, etc. So sometimes it does not take much time to rack up points. I filled three surveys out this morning for three places I had been over the weekend and it took me approximately 5 minute which earned me 500 points. So for as far as time goes this one gets a thumbs up from me. I wish it took fewer points to get a reward. My disappointment with this is so far is that I have not been able to use any of my rewards. First is the JcPenney rewards and their restrictions which is a huge list! I have looked at this list and not quite figured out exactly what I can use it on yet. I tried using one of these the other day but alas it would not let me. I had bought clothes for my grandsons and the clothes were on sale so I am thinking it cannot be used in conjunction with any sales. Also, once you say redeem the coupon you must use it or it goes away. So, that was one $10 coupon that I lost. Although the survey app is easy to use, I am not certain it is worth it if they all have a ton of restrictions like JcPenney but I have not used any others yet so I cannot say for certain if they do or not.
Currently, I am trying to save up for a reward to Firehouse Subs. I need 12,000 points for this one so this one will take me a while. Keep watching as I will keep posting as I earn and use or try to use their rewards from this app. It is sad but yes Hancock's is going out of business. I remember the days of going to Hancock's with my mom and grandmother to buy material. We even went there to buy the material and patterns for my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses many, many years ago. But alas, they are closing their doors and things are going fast - especially their patterns.
I went to their store in Fort Smith, Arkansas and found patterns were pretty picked over. Yarn is now 25% off and some of their fleece is as much as 50% off. I believe material is around 30% off. The lady checking me out noted they are expecting to be closed down completely end of June / beginning of July at the latest. Also, they will get one more shipment from the warehouse but does not know when. So, one just has to keep checking back in to catch the best deals they can. It is always sad when a company has been around as long as they have goes out of business. It is a byproduct of our times. For one, I believe there are fewer people sewing and making handmade items to be cherished by their families. Second, there is so much available on line that you can order now that people are not buying as much from brick and mortar stores. Personally, I do a little bit of both but prefer to actually see my material before I buy it. So, my advice is if their is a Hancock's near you - go, take your children and/or grandchildren with you and find a project to make together. Take this time to make some memories of picking out materials, patterns or yarn together and doing something together. Used the app on my phone to order. It shows how much saved on each item and paid no tax. Now we will see if I get everything as quickly as it showed for each item. Also had a 15% coupon for being a 1st time user. They have everything from household goods to pet supplies and groceries, etc. They do not necessarily have everything I use but had a very good selection.
